About the CEO | Dr. Kenisha Coburn
From an early age, I was drawn to the ways people learn, grow, and make sense of their experiences. I’ve always been curious about what motivates individuals to push beyond challenges, refine their thinking, and build something better—for themselves and those around them.
That curiosity led me to a career in education, where I learned that leadership isn’t just about decision-making; it’s about creating the conditions for others to thrive. As a principal, I saw firsthand the impact of strong, reflective leadership on students, teachers, and entire school communities. Later, in a central office leadership role, I had the privilege of coaching and developing principals in a large system, guiding them in strengthening their leadership practice, navigating complex challenges, and fostering environments where both students and educators could flourish.
Now, I design and facilitate professional learning and offer leadership coaching for leaders who are working to strengthen their organizations and teams. My work centers on helping leaders refine their vision, develop effective strategies, and cultivate the skills they need to lead with confidence. I’ve been fortunate to do this work with leaders in varied organizational roles and communities.
At my core, I believe leadership is about continuous learning—listening, questioning, experimenting, and refining. I am dedicated to helping leaders build the skills, mindsets, and systems to navigate complexity with purpose.
